Maritime History
Originally designed in 1898 by the legendary William Fife III, the cutter Yum was later purchased by Guy Tabarly and renamed Pen Duick ("coal tit" bird in Breton). Left to decay, she was saved by a young Éric Tabarly, who revolutionized naval architecture in 1958 by reconstructing her historic hull using cutting-edge polyester resin. Serving as the lifelong spiritual flagship and favorite vessel of France's most decorated yachtsman, Pen Duick remains an immortal icon of yachting passion and restoration excellence.
