Maritime History
Launched in 1934, Endeavour was built for the pioneer of aviation Sir Thomas Sopwith to challenge for the 15th historic America's Cup. Designed by Charles Ernest Nicholson, she introduced revolutionary aeronautical technologies, including the famous quadrilateral jib and advanced steel plating. Widely regarded as the most beautiful and fastest J-Class yacht ever constructed, her dramatic near-victory cemented her status as an immortal sailing legend.
