LA FLORE - FRENCH - 1784

This model extremely well built and perfect represents a small frigate of that time of Louis XIV. It comes from the collection of Phillipe Egalite. Although it is very ancient, we cannot say with conviction if it is the model of an LA FLORE Frigate bought in 1784 and which was delivered in Bordeaux. This frigate which outfit is very exact, reaches the perfection of the apogee of the sails. "LA FLORE" as with most of the frigate in general, is a very light and gracious vessel. These types of vessels are speedier than big vessels. They played the roles of explorers and of cruises.
