The Canot Imperial was built (within 21 days except the decoration)
according to the plans made by the engineer Guillermare. The
decoration was luxurious. Napoleon I made use of this vessel
to visit Antwerp harbour. In 1858, Napoleon III as well as
the Empress had also utilized this marvellous vessel. In 1943,
the Canot Imperial was brought back by train to Paris. The
Canot Imperial can now be visited at the Maritime Museum.
