Mauritius Island is very famous for its manufacture of ship model worldwide. Everything started with Mr Jose Ramar who had undertaken
the creation of ship models in 1963 for a French ambassador who asked it to him. Hence the French ambassador brought to him a plan of boats
from the Marine Museum in Paris. Over the years, another company named Comajora was established, at this time every ship models were made in dig hull.
Bobato company was create in 1997 bringing new evolutions in the manufacture of ship models, we started working ship models with planking hull by using
small slices of wood, square pulleys and rounded ones. We also have another part of our company who is specialized in the manufacture of
molded pieces and brass pieces. We have a person specialized for the sketches of plans, the cross section of the ship, sails, etc...
Our team is divided into five sections, the first one is simply in charge of the preparation of wood, the second of every assemblage,
the third occupies every fitting such as anchors, cannons, etc.. The fourth team is in charge of putting the sails, rigs
and all finishing. At the end the person who was in charge of sketches approves all finishing. The fifth team is specialized in the packing.
We have a large collection of models and of all dimensions. All details are worked with a lot of precision.
Our models are sold all over the world, through our website and also on place by tourists, collectors and passionate of ship models.
